
Rev. Dr. Douglas R. Stephenson is a retired US Army Chaplain (LTC), and serves the Church of God of Prophecy, Cleveland, Tennessee, as Director, Chaplaincy Ministries and as the Ecclesiastical Endorsing Agent for Military Chaplains. He has served the following churches as pastor: Lexington, Kentucky; Coweta, Oklahoma; Cartersville, Jonesboro, Hickory Flat Fellowship, Marietta and now Rossville, Georgia. He spent twenty years in the U. S. Army serving as an Army Chaplain with Airborne Infantry and Special Forces units. Among his awards are the Army Commendation and Meritorious Service Medals. He earned the U. S. Army Master Parachutist and German Parachutist Badges, as well as the Green Beret of the U. S. Army Special Forces. He received the Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky, in 1971 and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia, in May 2000. Doug and his wife Judy have two grown children, Amanda and David, and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren. They currently reside in Rossville, GA.
